Hadlow Fields

Our County Activity Centre is an ideal place for camps, holidays, Rainbow Sleepovers and Pack Holidays under canvas.  It consists of nine acres of flat grassland, is set well back from the road and surrounded by trees.  It comprises:

  • CAMPSITES

    There are seven sites in total, 5 sites on the large field, 1 enclosed by hedges and 1 adjacent to the Cottage.

    Each SITE has:

  • A large SHELTER with an open front, which can be used for storing equipment, emergency cooking or as a dry shelter
  • ALTAR FIRE, which must be used if using wood for cooking,  bricks, tops and grids are available and there is plenty of wood on site
  • SEATING, TABLES, SAW HORSE, INCINERATOR, BIN, BUCKET, BRUSH and SHOVEL
  • TOILET FACILITIES for use by all sites consist of:

  • block of 5 flush toilets and hand basins
  • toilet & wash basin for disabled personnel
  • shower
  • gents toilet, urinal & shower
  • TOILET DISPOSAL POINT is available
  • WATER TAPS are situated at convenient points on the site.

    CAMPING EQUIPMENT is available for hire, sufficient for two fully equipped sites for up to 36 people each.

    COTTAGE (holiday house)

    The Cottage has gas central heating, smoke detectors, a fire alarm system and is totally wheelchair accessible.

    BEDROOMS

  • One dormitory sleeping 18 on bunk beds
  • One leaders' room sleeping 2 on bunk bed
  • 2 'put-you-ups' provided for other leaders in Activity Room
  • Sleeping bags (or sheets and duvets), pillows and pillowcases need to be brought
  • Bedding is NOT provided
  • ACTIVITY ROOM (includes kitchen area)

  • Double oven & 6 gas rings
  • Fridge/freeze
  • Microwave
  • Toaster
  • Electric kettle
  • Crockery & cutlery for 24 people
  • Pots, pans etc
  • WASHROOMS

  • One shower, toilet & wash basin for disabled personnel
  • 3 Toilets
  • 2 Wash basins

    Activities Available On site

    Mountain Bikes available for trips on the Wirral Way

    Why not take our Mountain Bikes out for a few hours along the Wirral Way. Whether you fancy a short ride for the afternoon, or a longer day out, we can supply the bikes and all the safety wear to meet GirlGuidingUK regulations. We will even accompany your girls if you ask us in plenty of time, and we can offer to train your Leaders so you can be completely independant. Full details on the Booking Form.

    Tipis

    We have a selection of Tipis available for use by GirlGuiding Wirral units only. The Festy tipis sleep between 6 to 8 and the Soul Pad Tipis sleep up to 10 or are ideal as activity tipis.
    Help is available with pitching. Please use the
